UAE Team Emirates XRG received an initial yellow card in the current Tour following a stage penalty. A team mechanic was charged and handed a official card after a technical problem with rider Isaac del Toro during Stage 2. Del Toro went on to win the stage for his team in a dramatic finish. The penalty was handed down by event officials after the occurrence. The team confirmed it will settle the fine and take the card.
