Aftershocks persisted, some strong. The biggest aftershock topped 5.0. No significant damage or injuries reported so far. Homes and streets stayed quiet in Chiapas and nearby areas. Tsunami alerts stayed up for hours. They were later cancelled as seas stayed calm.
