A marine mammal was transferred from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died shortly after the move. The move was completed before the animal died.
Marineland also relocated four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no remaining dolphins. Only belugas stay at the park.
The transfer left the grounds much quieter. Staff inspect the water and health conditions. Visitors notice a smaller number of animals. The park’s visitor count declined.
The wooded surroundings have not changed. The water continues to be strong. The park retains a small number of belugas. Visitors see fewer animal performances. The water continues to be clear.
