BC Wildfire Service crews were dispatched to a fire burning near Highway 97 in Peachland. Firefighters have arrived at the scene. The service confirmed that crews currently have the blaze contained. In the meantime, a separate wildfire was burning near Highway 3 east of Princeton. That fire grew to seven hectares.
Police officers are now investigating a rollover crash on Highway 97. Dashcam footage recorded the moment. The RCMP suspect that alcohol was involved in the road crash. Local news outlet Castanet also published a Kelowna obituary notice for Debbie Florence Turner.
