Aryna Sabalenka said Wimbledon’s rule that bars dogs from player enclosures is overly harsh.
She said the ban distresses her and is unfair to players who own pets.
She urged the tournament to change the rule to act quickly.
The ban affects the whole tournament throughout the week, every single day, preventing owners from keeping their dogs close, which many find restrictive.
Sabalenka made the remarks on 2 July 2026, after the championships began.
She told the board the rule is emotionally painful and asked them to allow dogs back the player zones.
