World Space Week 2026 is under way from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," built around how falling launch costs could open space access to more countries and organisations. Google marked the occasion with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit joined events tied to the week.

The European Space Agency partnered with Pokemon GO to offer a limited-time Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also got involved with the event. World Space Week is the world's biggest yearly space celebration, observed across more than 90 countries.
