A Blue Alert is an urgent alert from police to notify citizens about an individual posing a significant threat. It is used in cases involving active shooters. The goal is to promptly inform the public and advise people to take steps to stay safe. Recently, authorities in Texas activated a Blue Alert for an individual charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer.
