Stephen Root reveals Grand Theft Auto VI character

Actor Stephen Root has officially confirmed he is set to be featured in Grand Theft Auto VI. He will play the character Brian Heder in the project. This is the first time any actor has openly announced a role in Grand Theft Auto VI. The announcement came on September 14, 2026.

Multiple outlets flagged the update, including AP News and GTA BOOM. Root was quoted as saying, "You're Gonna See Me in There." The confirmation signals an early reveal for the cast of the video game, which has been highly anticipated.
