Ross Stores posted its second quarter financial results on Friday, 21 August 2026. The figures surpassed analyst expectations.
Robust customer demand brought in greater sales turnover. Consumers spent more on cheap apparel and household items. Consequently, Ross Stores upgraded its full year profit forecast. The firm now expects to generate higher full year profits than first expected.
Shares in Ross Stores rose after the update. This led to an adjustment in what investors expect throughout the off-price retail sector. Meanwhile, competitor TJX reported a sales miss in its Marmaxx division.
