President Donald Trump issued clemency to several people convicted of Clean Air Act violations, in a list covering small businesses and a wealthy fundraising backer tangled up in an emissions case in Gaylord, Michigan. The White House described the offenders as people prosecuted for repairing their vehicles.
A federal judge issued a separate determination that Trump's January 6 pardons do not cover Washington, D.C. resident Brian Cole Jr. Cole is facing charges for planting a pipe bomb near U.S. government property on January 5, 2021.
