A 7.4 tremor struck Mexico’s Pacific coast a little before 6 a.m. on Friday.
A wide tsunami alert went out for coastal strips along Mexico and Guatemala soon after.
The ground continually trembled, shaking towns further north into Guatemala and El Salvador too.
Moments after 4 a.m., a 7.3 quake trembled the same area.
No information of damage or collapsed buildings came in after the warnings.
