Tottenham Hotspur finalised an £85 million deal for midfielder Mateus Fernandes on Friday. West Ham United accepted the offer after weeks of negotiations. Fernandes passed his medical and signed the contract straight away. Manchester United had shown interest earlier this year. Tottenham met West Ham’s valuation to close the deal. The midfielder will now link up with the squad before pre-season starts. The club announced the agreement after all documents were signed late on Friday night.
