Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors serving aboard the USS Tripoli arrived back on home soil on Wednesday. They concluded tours assigned to the 5th and 7th Fleets. Around that same period, thousands of Marines and sailors stationed in Okinawa went back to their Japan post after missions linked with the Iran situation. The Tripoli berthed at its home port in Okinawa, wrapping up its deployment. The U.S. Marines and the Royal Australian Air Force concluded joint drills at Dyess under the Trident Fury program this week. In Vancouver, the police marine unit rescued a one-week-old seal pup that had been left alone.
