Red Bull Driver Wins Singapore Sprint Race Saturday

Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 sprint race at Marina Bay in Singapore on Saturday after race leader George Russell was eliminated by a crash in wet conditions. Verstappen also claimed pole position for the main grand prix, capping a big day for the Red Bull driver.

A collision between Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll turned heads during the sprint. After his win, Verstappen told reporters F1 should drop sprint races at circuits like Singapore, where overtaking is nearly impossible. The main race is planned for Sunday.
