Ed Husic, the Australian Industry and Science Minister, criticised Labour’s internal workings after his initiative to open a debate on recognising Gaza was rejected.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese allegedly described his remark at a conference as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unfazed by criticism, telling reporters: "put me in a freezer, I don't care at all."
The dispute followed previous efforts to push the party to declare events in Gaza as genocide.
Leaked files and internal files were later filed that revealed serious rifts within Labour’s ranks over policy and direction.
